Update to Solaris 11.1 using the Image Packaging System

Run pkg update with the --accept option to update a small set of system packages:

  # pkg update --accept
  # reboot

Update the IPS package:

  # pkg update pkg:/package/pkg

Update the rest of the system packages:

  # pkg update --be-name s11.1ga --accept
  # reboot

  # uname -a
  SunOS myhost 5.11 11.1 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris
